Anna of Arendelle

I love Bella's imagination. Today we went to the aquarium and she went as Anna of Arendelle! She was so excited ...she has talked about feeding the turtles for weeks! So today with Noah we headed to feed the turtles.  She loved it. She also fed the sting rays and fish! Thank you Noah for coming along and helping her today.  She had so much fun!

Bella spent the night Thursday..she woke up at 4:00 a.m. and said "Grammy, I love you!" I told her I loved her, too.  She held my hand and fell back to sleep. Melted my heart!

Such A Big Girl Now!

PJ day!
In just over three weeks Bella will be 4 years old!  It's hard to believe that so much time has flown by already.  She is such a big girl now.  She has her own "big girl" bed and new bedroom furniture at home. I took down her crib/bed and picked up a love-seat for our bedroom and it is her bed now. She loves being a big girl! (I did buy a rail for the love-seat, though. I didn't want her rolling off. But she doesn't hesitate to climb in and take her naps or sleep all night in it!)  Bella spent the night Wednesday..We had a PJ day Thursday.  She's staying over again tonight..she mentioned that "I haven't had Chili's salsa in awhile, Grammy!"  Guess we'll be going to Chili's tonight!!

Swimming lessons were postponed this week due to the storms, so she will start lessons next week.

Today she decided to be "Jane" from the "Twilight" movies.  I had to put her hair in a bun and of course take pictures. She wants red eyes in her pictures...I try to not give people red eyes when I take pictures..so now I am trying to add red in post production!! The things I do for her!  LOL!

Well..maybe she'll be happy with gold eyes!
Bella is such a sweetie..we stopped at the store on the way home to pick up bobby pins..to help hold her bun in place.  We went in to buy only bobby pins...she managed to pick up curlers..because "you need some for me at your house, too, Grammy!"...she added two head bands..."I think these would look good on me, don't you, Grammy?"...her own blush.."Grammy, I probably shouldn't use yours!"...red lip crayon..."Grammy, Jane's lips are red and you don't have red.".... and a big bottle of Listerine..the green color because "Oh, Grammy...my Daddy said he is all out of his Listerine. I need to get him this. It's really important Grammy.  We can just walk it over to my house for him! It would be so special, don't you think Grammy??"... I did manage to convince her that we could just give it to him tomorrow when they picked her up rather then walk it over to her house!  The things she thinks up!!  Love her!!

Summer Swimming Time!

Our Summer of fun has officially kicked off!  Bella and I started swimming!  She remembers what she was taught and is really looking forward to seeing Ms. Courtney for more lessons! (Which will begin on June 18th!)
Bella was saving cicadas in the pool.  The ones on their backs were still alive..she said "they knew how to roll on their backs to rest! The other didn't and they are dead!"
Her cousins came to swim today and she had so much fun!  Bella LOVES her cousins!

Of course Summer Fun just wouldn't be Summer Fun without climbing into the Jeep and going off-road! (Okay..so we only pretend..but man oh man is she a good off-road driver!! LOL)
Sometimes when you go off-road you leave the driving to someone else and
just hang out in the back seat!
Bella wants to spend the night again...I'm in!  We love it when she stays the night.

Bugs!

Bella got to spend the night! Grammy and Papa were very excited! She couldn't wait to get her bath, put on pj's, brush her teeth and climb into bed! We watched movies and "old time" music videos. She is such a sweetheart and we love her so much.

Bella's memory for things amazes me.  Her observation of things also amazes me. For instance..did you know that the Phantom of the Opera has a hairy chest? Yep..Gerard Butler has a hairy chest..she showed me the scene in the movie!  LOL!  She cracks me up!

Harry Potter has come to town again!  Bella started watching HP movies this week, donned her glasses, grabbed her wand and had me add her scar!  She has been practicing casting spells !

Tuesday I showed Bella what was making the "noises" in the trees. Cicadas!  She was fascinated by the fact that they crawl out of the ground and "bust out" of their shells. Today we wandered the yard and she found the "after" bugs!  Most of them were dead, as their life cycle is extremely short, but there were several crawling around. So Bella had to pick them up and save them by putting them back in trees!  I've been showing her different bugs and telling her not all bugs need to be run away from screaming! She knows not to touch things if she isn't sure about them. Also told her not to mess with any snakes or spiders. Not a problem with that...she really hates them.  So now she has an interest in roly-poly bugs, June bugs, butterflies, and cicadas.  She doesn't mind squishing ants! I did tell her not to step on stink bugs...showed her one...told her they were really yucky smelling..she says they smell like skunks! Works for me.   Bella says "ticks, fleas and  'squitoes suck your blood like pampires!"  True!  She was very adamant when I had to call the bug guy because our mist system was out of "juice"...."please tell him to come get  the bugs and 'squitoes because the machine is empty and I can't swing!"  When Daryl left she politely asked him.."did you get rid of the 'squitoes for me?"
