New Lessons

Bass Pro fun!
Bella and I took a quick run to Bass Pro Shop!  She wants to learn to shoot a "real bow and arrow" so we picked up a youth archery set.  It's going to take a little bit to get her to remember the stance, how to nock the arrow, aiming., etc., but I have no doubt that she'll learn.  Archery is a fun sport and I loved it in high school so I'm hoping she'll have fun with it and learn to enjoy it.  Right now I told her hitting the target isn't the big thing.  Although she really wants to hit the target!  We'll try again next week and see how things go!

Today we said good-bye to Miss Courtney. Swimming lessons are done for the year. Bella had her test (swimming in summer clothes and shoes) and did great.  We will continue to practice getting her face in the water.  We will miss seeing Miss Courtney!  But we are so very thankful for her love and patience. She has done such a wonderful job teaching Bella.   Bella made her a rubber band necklace and we found a perfect dragonfly necklace to give her.  Bella said "Every time Miss Courtney sees a dragonfly she will think of my "Shakey" dragonfly and remember me!"

Ready for her swimming test!

"The Moon is following me!"

Bella spent the night Thursday evening...we just hung out and watched movies and played games, and colored! Perfect night!

Swimming lessons are coming to a end. I think her testing will be next Friday.  She is going to miss Courtney! (So are we!) We swam again this evening before taking her home. She does love the water!
Just a little water-logged from so much swimming today!

Bella did say she wants to try archery lessons so I am going to get those scheduled! She's been playing with her Katniss doll and would like to be able to shoot like her! I'm going to be in so much trouble! LOL!

Tonight we grilled a pizza. It was a first for me. Bella loved mixing the dough up and watching it rise..but she really loved smashing it on the pan...so much that I couldn't get it off the pan to put it on the grill...so a quick re-shaping and I managed to dump it on the grill!  It wasn't round, it wasn't thin, but it was tasty when it was done!
Our very first grilled pizza!

Finally got the A/C fixed in the T/A (can't wait to drive it with the air on now!) and got the GTX's  A/C charged up.  We went together to pick up the GTX...Bella was a little worried because Papa wasn't right behind us on the way home.  But when I saw him coming up behind us and told her she started waving above her car seat! She does love her Papa!

When we were heading home she looked up and said .."Grammy..there is a plane by the Moon. Is it landing? Do you think it's Uncle DanDan?"  (I told her it's not him, not yet anyway! ) Then she added.."I think the Moon is following us!" (I told her you have to be pretty special to have the Moon follow you.)  She thought about it for a second and add.."But it's following us! It's following the car." (Maybe because you are in the car!) "Grammy..if it is following me, am I special?" (You sure are!)

Sleep Tight!

Tomorrow is Bella's 4th birthday party. She's been counting down the days since Monday! (Which was her actual birthday).  I took Bella and Jessica shopping Tuesday and then lunch..sort of a girl's day out!  Bella loves to go shopping!  She picked out several cute outfits, shoes, hair accessories, etc.  She picked lunch at Olive Garden (good choice!).  We had such a great time.

Thursday Bella had swimming lessons with Courtney.  She did very well  getting her nose in the water and blowing bubbles....so much so that Thursday evening she actually put on goggles and went underwater!!  Today she actually swam underwater for a brief moment! She swam for Mommy and Daddy tonight, but didn't want to go under the water. She'll do it another time. Don't want to rush something and make her nervous or scared.

Bella spent the night Thursday..love it when she stays over.  She asked if she could eat at LoneStar (loves their chicken tenders and fries)..so we headed there for dinner. She received several compliments on her polite manners! (Makes you proud!!)  I know the time will come when she won't be quite so excited about staying over (and I dread that!) so we take advantage of every time she wants to stay! I love her little "Love you Grammy and Papa. Sleep tight and sweet dreams!"

Danny finally had the opportunity to see "The Phantom of the Opera".  He and Bella had a great conversation about the play! They discussed various scenes and songs! So cute. She told Daddy tonight at dinner that "Uncle DanDan enjoyed it"!

Pizza time!

4 Years Young

FaceTime with Uncle DanDan today...she was so cute showing him her new Avenger/Superhero wrestling buddies!  She asked Uncle DanDan to show her some of his toys, too...so he showed her his Batman and Rodney Dangerfield dolls, a chimpanzee, his Batman mask... she was impressed!! Thought that was pretty cool!

Maleficent was here today...she hasn't visited in awhile!

Today she said on her birthday she was going to be "4 years young!"  I said, "That sound great! Maybe I should be 61 years young!" To which she replied..."No, Grammy you are 61 years old because you are!"  Reality bites sometimes!  LOL!

In just three days she will be 4 years "young"!

We danced and jumped around to "Maniac" (from 'Flashdance') on Wii Just Dance today.  Please refer back to the above paragraph...she was right!

Just some hugs from Maleficent!
Shake-a-booty Maleficent style!
