Saying Goodbye to 2015

Wow...where did the year go???  I can't believe I am posting the final blog for 2015!!!What a great year!
Bella has remained healthy and grown so much! She has learned a lot in her makeshift pre-school! She is such a joy.

Danny will be here until Sunday..another goodbye I don't want to do.
Bella is going to miss him. We have had so much fun with him being here. When she goes to bed she asks if he is going to bed now, too..when she wakes up she starts looking for him! Watching the two of them playing is priceless. They have such a special bond.

Bella talks all the time..about anything and everything..she talks about how much she loves her Momma and Daddy. She is so proud of her Daddy..she tells me how hard he works to make sure she is safe. She has such a soft heart.

Love you!!
Bella has really been discussing "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (when we aren't acting it out! LOL!)  Last night we sat on the bench and had a long discussion. This went on for several minutes... "I don't like Ren" (I don't think there are very many people out there that do!) "I like him in real life but not in Star Wars." (If you were an actor and were told that was the role you were going to play what would you say?) "OH NO!! I would say no no no!" (Who would want to be?) "Rey, or Han" (Who is your favorite character?) "Han Solo" (I thought you were going to say Rey?) "Oh I like her, too, but Han is my favorite" "Grammy..why is Ren so bad? Why he go to the Dark Side?"  "Why did Ren have real water tears?", etc., etc.  We took the conversation into the living room where Momma and Daddy, Papa and Danny were sitting.  They all had to get into her question/answer session. It was so cool to watch her as she thought up her various questions and questioned the responses.  She is so smart!

Tonight we did Wii Dance after dinner...she had been wanting to show her moves to Uncle DanDan! So tonight we danced!  I love it when the whole family is together. The World just seems to be a better place when I have all my family with me.

May the Force be with you!
I hope everyone had a great 2015. We are looking forward to 2016..it will be a year of new adventures and fun. We are hoping 2016 will be a year for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas

Let the Christmas celebrations begin!  Danny arrived on time and it's been non-stop for Bella ever since! (And for Uncle DanDan!!)  I think every bad Storm Trooper, Zombie, etc., has been eradicated from the premises!  But you never know!!

Bella made sure everything was "just right"..my hair had to fixed, she had to have a sign to remind him she was "shy" at first, she packed her overnight bag, and we loaded everything into the car and headed to get him. She loves her Uncle DanDan!!

Today we are all going to go see Star Wars!  Dinner tonight and Santa in the morning!! Fun stuff!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!  I love this time of year!! Family is all that matters..and having all of my loved ones together is all I need for Christmas!

"I dreamed it"

Counting down the days!! Danny will be home on the 23rd!  There is a little girl that is VERY excited...almost as excited as her Grammy! She has reminded us all and told us to remind him that she will be shy at first but she'll okay by the time they get to the car!  She is such a little goose! She is already planning all the fun things she is going to do with Uncle DanDan!! It's going to be an awesome Christmas!

Yesterday was dress up in costumes day! She went from Ariel, to Rapunzel, to Snow White, to Anna and back to Snow White! It was a dump everything out of her toy bin kind of day and then hang out IN the bin! Just a hang out and play kind of day! It was cold and drizzly outside so we just stayed in and stayed warm! She ate great yesterday so I was very happy!!! She spent the night and slept 11 hours..which she thought was pretty cool! She made sure to tell  Lynette today that she slept from "8:00 hours last night to 7:00 hours this morning!!" She told me several times that she is a big girl now..but she also reminded me that she will always need me to hold her. (I can do that!) After her nap today she told me..."Grammy when I was a little baby I always wanted a Grammy named Vicki and then I was born and I did!  I guess I dreamed it. You will always be my Grammy."  Okay..that seriously brought happy tears! She gave me the biggest hug and told me how much she loved me! (Melt my heart!)

We did have to go "off road" yesterday for awhile. She loves the Jeep..especially driving it! LOL!
Going "off road"!

Today we went shoe shopping..I swear she outgrew all her shoes overnight!! So now we are all set! She tried on a dozen pairs of shoes and picked her favorites. I think the new hot-pink shoes are her "best favorite"!

She also got to tour her new school! She will be starting kindergarten in the Fall! She was so excited about seeing her new school. She has told everyone that she will be starting "real" school when she turns five! She loved the Library and Computer Lab! She got to meet several teachers and saw a couple of the kindergarten classrooms!  She was very impressed with the tornado shelter!! She can't wait! Thank you Lynette and Noah for taking us through the school!
Ready to see her new school!

I worked on Bella's Great Strides 2016 video.  I have it done! I won't post it "officially" until January 1st but here is link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQNChnCYImQ

Happy the Snowman

Our time together this week was reversed. We were together Mon-Wed instead of Wed-Frid...So now I'm lost! LOL!  I keep thinking I have forgotten someone every time I turn around!  Next week we will be back on our normal schedule..I am just glad she is finally feeling better. We will be missing out on a couple fun things this weekend, but we figure it's best. She needs to be fully recovered for Uncle DanDan's arrival and for Christmas!

Wednesday, Michelle was here cleaning without a helper. So Bella picked up my broom, duster, etc., and said.."I am Mecell's helper girl. Her doesn't have a helper girl today so I will help!"  She was so happy to be her helper girl!! Of course, Michelle just loves her!

Wednesday afternoon was so beautiful ..warm, sunny and no wind..so I let Bella wander around outside for a little while. I figured she needed her vitamin D!! We took a few pictures while we wandered around..she yelled at a few squirrels (she likes scaring them!) and she enjoyed every minute outside. She told me she needed her exercise time outside! Me, too, Sweetie..me, too!

Next week we have a couple fun Christmas projects to do! Bella loves singing..like that is a surprise!..so she has been singing Christmas songs this week... a lot!  Michelle sings beautifully while she cleans..so Bella was belting out songs. Her favorite is "Happy the Snowman"...(isn't that "Frosty"?) Yes..but he's happy! So I like Happy better!   (Okay!)

December (and NO pets!!)

I can't believe December is upon us already! Time flies! Won't be long before Danny is home!

Today was Bella's clinic appointment. She did amazing! She is up in height a little but down a little in weight..overall her BMI is 87% and that is GREAT!  No changes in routines for now!  We were finally able to get some information regarding how many fat grams vs enzymes, etc. when giving her her Pertzye. She eats very sparingly and it is difficult to sometimes figure out just how much she needs. She was such a big girl today when it came time for the dreaded swabbing of her throat...she crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue! (Showed everyone ahead of time what she was going to do!)  We were all so very proud of her!!  Of course today she had to wear her red "Belle" dress, told them she was going to be an actor like her Uncle DanDan when she grew up and she was going to be in a Darth Vader movie!  She sang the "Darth" song as we left!

She is so funny when she is Yoda...she puts her hands up like big ears! We were several Star Wars characters this afternoon! Tomorrow she is planning on being Leia all day!

We are having fun getting ready for Christmas!! Bella made very special ornaments today..one for her Mommy/Daddy, Meme/Pappy, PaPa and Me, Grandma Betty and Lynnie.  We have some additional ornaments to make tomorrow. She is spending the night tomorrow and she is really looking forward to dinner at Olive Garden!  Yesterday I asked her what she really, really wanted from Santa.  "Oh..I want a Ruby puppy and a kitty Penny!" (Ruby and Penny are both pugs).  I told her that would have to be cleared with her Daddy..he said nope.  I told Bella that Daddy said no..."FINE! Then I still want a Ruby puppy and kitty Penny but they will stay with you Grammy!"...(Nope)... "Maybe Meme will let them stay with her!"...(I don't think so)..."Fine...maybe I will think of something else!" (That would be good!)

And in case no one noticed...Bella has a new adorable short hair cut!

Pies, Star Wars and More!

Bella has been fighting a bug...running anywhere from 99.1 to 101 temp.  Hopefully this will clear up quickly. Tylenol lowers it, but it sneaks back up!  It just takes longer for her to shake a virus then most people. (We can thank CF for that....GRRRRRR!!!)

Well..Bella watched "Star Wars"...the original version...and she LOVED it!  We all knew she would. I had to dig out my old VHS tapes so she could see the non-revised editions! She has talked about the movie all day...we have acted out all the scenes (of course!!).  Papa has to be "the old guy" (Obi Wan), and I have to be Han, Luke and of course "Dark Nadar"!  LOL!  She has played with her make-shift lightsabers and fought Storm Troopers and trash monsters all day! We have flown around the house in our "spaceship" and sped through the desert in our "flying cars"!  She has such an amazing imagination and loves acting! And she is such a joy to be around!

Today was our day to bake pies for Thanksgiving.  It is our annual tradition now.  She made chocolate mini pies, a cherry pie (especially for her Papa), apple tarts, a pumpkin pie and a sweet potato pie!  Yesterday we make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (her Daddy's favorite).  I love this time of year...although my hips don't! LOL!  Tomorrow will be the big family gathering for food, friendship and laughter and enjoying time together.

Mictoria

Bella and I had a couple of projects this week. We baked a cake and built the new little manger for the counter-top Nativity scene!  The rest of the time we were vampires! LOL!

Yummy frosting

This week Bella was totally all about "Twilight"!  She was Jane, Bella Swan,
"Mictoria" (Victoria), Bree and sometimes Alice!  I was Jacob, Edward and "that mean boy that made vampires"(Riley)!  We re-enacted so many scenes that I lost track.  When she woke up Thursday morning I told her "Good morning, Sunshine!"....she said "Good Morning, Edward!  Where did PaPa go?" I couldn't help but laugh!  When the Sun would shine through a window she would stand and comment on how she sparkled! Sometimes she had red eyes and I had to be careful because she would be a mean vampire..sometimes she would have red eyes but be a good vampire..it did make for a slightly confusing moment or two!

She helped me in the office..taking papers from the fax machine and bringing them to me..stuffing envelopes with checks..she put stamps on envelopes...I told her she was my "Office Helper Girl"...paid her a dollar (she thought that was pretty cool!)

She cracked me up when I was sweeping up some dirt downstairs....."Grammy what are you doing?" (Just sweeping up some dirt Papa tracked in.)...coming over to me and taking my hand .."Grammy..he didn't mean to bring in dirt. He is just a boy and boy's don't think about those things. He did it by accident!" (I'm sure he didn't mean to. I'm just cleaning it up!) "Well..just don't be angry..boy's forget to check their shoes!"  Okay!! Silly goose!
"Look Grammy...I sparkle in the sunlight!

Next week is Thanksgiving.  Bella and I will be baking pies on Wednesday. I can't believe that the end of the year is just around the corner! Time needs to slow down just a little!

Meow!

This week our schedule was a little wonky but we still managed to get a full two days in!!

Bella has done so well with school.  We probably aren't as consistent as we should be, but she is usually very open to doing work and learning new things!  I've tried doing something a little differently. She LOVES notes.."writing" her own or receiving one.  So I leave her little notes now..a couple at her house and I leave some at our house.  She tries very hard to read them and I add site words that she knows. So far she is liking it!

Now what could this possibly
make?
We worked very hard on Jessica's birthday present yesterday and finished it as well as her card!  Bella is very excited to give her Momma her present!

Well..the house is totally decked out inside for Christmas. I'll leave outside decorating to Tony!  Of course Bella does like to rearrange things so things change constantly! Makes life interesting!!

This week I have been Batman and she was Catwoman...(Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman). I received "meow" as a response to several inquiries!  She does dive headlong into her roles!  Love my little Catwoman!

I actually do have a picture of Bella and me together but my phone is being stubborn! So once I can get it working again I will add it.
Finally got the phone to download the pic.

Hershey Kisses

Big sigh of relief...Bella's belly issues have cleared.  We had a few episodes of tears and panicking but she is back to normal.  I really hate CF.

Bella has been wanting to set up the new Christmas tree. I have a gift for her all wrapped and ready to go under the tree and it's been driving her crazy!  LOL!  She decided if she could see it under the tree until Christmas that that would be okay!  So today we put away Halloween decorations and unboxed the new tree and she and I set it up. She had to read the instructions and crawl under the tree to investigate how it connects. She placed her ornaments and arranged them "just right".  She grabbed a pillow and said she would like to take a nap under the tree or maybe just stay under it until  Christmas! We will hold off on setting up the second tree for a few days (hopefully! LOL!)  It might be difficult though, she has a couple new ornaments that she loves and wants to put on the other tree!

Silly face time
We had a crazy silly day today. Bella was feeling good..her tummy was feeling great...so she was in full "Phantom of the Opera" mode!  We haven't had a full re-enactment of the opera in awhile!  It was great! She gave me a huge hug and told me I was her best buddy. Melt my heart!

More silly face time.

On a funny note...she and I have renamed "Hershey Kisses"...we send a great deal of texts between family members...we tend to use the "poo" emoji a lot... that particular topic is always an issue and a concern with Bella so it is usually discussed almost every day (some days it is an all day conversation and worry)...anyway...Bella had a Hershey's Kiss and commented that they look like the text picture of "poo"...so now we laugh and call them "Hershey's Poopies"... it's the little things! LOL!!!

Papa, Bella and I headed to Olive Garden for dinner..we had a total laughing  hysterical moment..Bella was talking about hair. I mentioned that my hair was really long when I was younger..way past my "bobo". Bella looked at me and said..."Grammy your hair was long but then you cut it short, and then you colored it, and then....." {there was a long pause}....."...then it sort of turned all old looking!" LOL!!! Love that child!

A Four Year Old's Logic

Headed to the Pumpkin Patch!

Me and B!
Bella and I headed to Shepard's Crossing today to help celebrate Cora's 1st birthday with Cora, Jill, Lennon, Meme and Pappy!  It was a gorgeous day and we had a wonderful time! We wandered through a hay maze, Bella pet a couple farm animals and she picked up a couple more pumpkins!

I've decided that playing board games just doesn't get much better then playing with Bella.  A simple game turns into an adventure in new rules and ways to play. I had no idea that a tiny piece of unmarked plastic could become an ever changing numbered dice. Of course I have no earthly idea what number I've rolled..but she does! And each number and it's representative action changes with each turn! Puzzle pieces turn from simple discs to 'pickles'! LOL!  We played the same dinosaur game more times then I can count...and each time we played it differently. Never a dull moment! I love her imagination, her logic and sense of adventure!

BTW...sometimes just listening to her describe things is hysterical!
Shaking dice.."Watch, Grammy..in the old days people would shake them like this (shaking them normally)..but now we shake them like this!" (blows on them). Okay!!

Helping me in the office she likes to write notes and stick them in envelopes.."Grammy..these notes are for real people so you have to give them to real people" (okay..which real people?) "Ask Papa he knows them." (he knows 'real people'?) "Yes! And he'll give them each one." (Okay! This one is all your's Papa!)

Getting ready to play a marble game.."I don't think I'm suppose to play with these..I might choke!" (Choke?) "Uh huh!" (Why would you choke? We will be playing with them not eating them!) "Well you never know!" (we played with tiny furry fabric balls instead...Lord knows I didn't want her to choke!)

Ghosts!

Bella is with us all weekend!!! Mommy and Daddy are at ComicCon!!

Bella and I are going to go to Paint&Barrel today to paint a ghost! She has really wanted to paint something at a "Paint place"...and today was a family day. It turned out to be just Bella and me..so we had the entire place to ourselves. The instructors were so sweet to Bella!

Temperature Problem

Tuesday was a great day!  Wednesday....not so great!

Munchkin and I painted our pumpkins Tuesday. She decided to paint two small ones and she wanted to wait to paint a big one until next week!  Works for me!  We certainly have lots of pumpkins!

All set to paint!
Pumpkin painting time!
Tuesday was a dance around, watch Jurassic Park, be silly kind of day! It was a lip gloss, talk about Halloween costumes, giggle and laugh day!   (Wish it was a eating food kind of day...she didn't want to eat anything all day. She drank her Scandishake for breakfast though which is a good thing. I'm thinking she might be getting blocked up again.)
Wednesday was not great !  Bella was not happy...she knew Wednesday was going to be flu shot day. The thought of getting a flu shot sort of set her mood (I can't blame her...shots hurt) for the day. She ended up being sent to her room for refusing to pick up a mess she made and yelling at me to pick it up. "You are being mean to me, Grammy!" sob sob "I don't love you right now, Grammy!!" sob sob....We resolved that situation and moved on.  "Sorry, Grammy..I am having a temperature problem". (Do you mean a temper problem?) "Yes...it's just my temper...it is having a temperature problem. But I still love you, Grammy".  She drank some milk but refused to eat.  We headed to the clinic for her shot. I hate when she has to get shots but it was over quickly and her tears ended almost as quickly but her mood stayed in the subterranean level.  Her mood picked up a little when I drove her through her favorite breakfast stop for hash browns, sausage and chocolate milk!

After she ate (half of her hash brown and half of her sausage and half of her milk....still not much food) she started talking about her belly. Listening to her describe her belly issues..."Grammy when my belly hurts low it's my gas but way-high hurting is poopie" (Is your belly hurting low or way-high?) "It hurts way-high more but low, too".  So we headed downstairs so she could talk to my feet (please recall my "feet" post! LOL!).  I can honestly say that she could give a group of bean-eating, gassy men (sorry guys) something to be proud of! I actually complimented her on some of her noises!! Which did get her to laugh and try even harder to make more noises! (Hey...whatever it takes to get her to go!)  Her mood was finally getting better!

Then it was time to do some school work..."Grammy why you make me do school!! I don't have to do school at MeMe's. I don't have to do school at Momma's!" (Because you are too smart not to do school!) Guess I am the bad guy today!!

Nap time brought about another mood decline...but 90% of her mood blues Wednesday was because she was tired.  So the long list of her reasons why she shouldn't take a nap began..."Grammy I too big", "I'm not tired", "I won't be grumpy to Mommy and Daddy", "I don't take naps for MeMe", "I only want a two song nap", "I really don't want to sleep", "I don't love you, Grammy"...and on and on and on.  Let's just say she was zonked before we made it through one full round of "The Hanging Tree"!  When the time came to take her home I had to wake her up.

Our conversation upon her waking up...."Grammy...I still love you" (I love you, Monkey) "Grammy...you shouldn't have made me have a temperature problem" (So it was my fault?) "Yes..you made me have it" (How?) "Because you made me get a shot and you wanted to go upstairs" (Oh...okay...so today was all about me? Your movie was on upstairs so wanting to go back up there was my fault!) "Ah huh...you were mean to me" (knife in my heart motion) (I was mean? Why?)  Raising her voice.."I told you I didn't want a flu shot!!!" (Ohhhh..so because you had to get a shot...that will help you not get sick...you decided that you were going to be mean to me? And be in a bad mood most of the day..You decided you could yell and say mean things to me?)...long pause..."It was my temperature, Grammy...but I still love you now". (Well I'm glad, Monkey, because I will always love you..even when you are angry with me, or tired, or saying things that you don't really mean...I will always love you. It's called loving you unconditionally!) "Like KPerry?" (Yep..like Katy Perry.) [note: she has a song called "Unconditionally" that Bella sings] Big hug and kiss on my cheek. "Well...I love you that too, Grammy" (And I love you, Monkey)

Unconditionally, Monkey..unconditionally!!

Pumpkin Patch

Thursday was Pumpkin Patch day!  They were so sweet to Bella...they were closed when we got there but they opened up early for her!  She donned her new Vogmask and headed out to select just the right pumpkins!  She ran through the hay-maze several times and made sure I didn't get lost in it! (It's only two feet tall..I think I'm okay!) We filled up our wheelbarrow quickly!  We have one HUGE one that we are going to turn into a "turkey" Friday!  Can't wait to see our finished product!

We took some cute photos today. Bella wore a new dress and decided to be "Jane" from "Twilight". She has such a wonderful imagination!  She looked so grown up today in a couple of her pictures.  (Bella, you are getting so big) "I know, Grammy! I used to be a tiny baby, but now I'm growing up. I'm not a baby now I'm a daughter!" (hugs)
Well she finally did it...she actually tried driving her truck....and she LOVED it! She drove all over the place! She even hauled a bunch of her pumpkins in it!  She will have me jogging along with her tomorrow!

Bella will be staying with us Friday night! I'm sure we will have LOTS of fun stuff to do!

Crazy

Crazy week....Monday we had the air-quality checked inside and outside the kid's house and all the results were normal levels....Bryan had his bronchoscopy on Wednesday. He did great. So far they have said it's not pneumonia and the fungal stain hasn't shown any growth yet.  Hopefully Monday we will learn more.  If we can't get a definitive answer they are talking surgical biopsy.   I want my son better!!!!

Bella stayed over Thursday night...love it when she stays!  She is still talking about seeing "Joseph" live. We watched the dvd and listened to the cd several times!  She is also still into "Eye of The Tiger"! So today was workout day!  Thursday night she jumped non-stop on her trampoline for almost 20 minutes!  It worked to loosen stuff because she coughed great for a couple minutes.  She followed it with her breathing treatment and gave me thumbs-up the whole time!  She was willing to jump like a crazy person so she didn't have to do shake-a-booty vest time. Since she had done her morning vest treatment I figured a jumping alternative wouldn't hurt.  She kept saying ..."Feel my heart, Grammy! It's beeping so good!!" Love that she is so into exercising because it is excellent for strengthening her lungs.

Well..for the first time since I started doing this weekly blog I failed to take a picture of Bella and me together. Guess I was a little distracted!  So here are a few pictures of why I am doing this...she has grown up so fast!

Eye of the Tiger!

I know I post a lot of things about Bella..pictures, videos, info about Cystic Fibrosis, etc.... but I have yet been able to capture those special Bella moments when she is just being herself..her expressions, descriptions of things..those upturned eyebrows, that little "look" when she is about to go off in some direction about something she just saw or heard or is about to go into her lengthy explanation about something of interest.  She is so animated when she is in full Bella-mode!  She pours her heart into things and it is so cute to watch her. Sometimes we can't help but laugh!  Other times I just want to hug her!! Some of the things she says amazes me at times...such as "I'm glad you are teaching me to write things, Grammy, because sometimes I don't do it right and no one tells me now to do it properly!"  Properly! She actually described it as Properly! Lol!  Today, for example, we were just sitting and playing a "Walking Dead" trivia game...yes, she loves TWD!...anyway... The question I read to her was related to Carl and who treated him after he was accidentally shot...she said...."Hershel saved him!" I told her that was correct that Hershel was a veterinarian before the problems started with all those silly zombies but he was now good at saving people! She thought about that for a few seconds, looked at me and said..."Hershel is sort of like God and Jesus because he saves people, too!"  She got an extra hug!
Bella picked out the new candle for Papa

She helped me decorate...well..she re-decorated for me...I put out Halloween and Fall stuff Wednesday and Thursday she rearranged the majority of it!  Today we went shopping for pillows and extra things. She had fun placing them in JUST the right places this evening before she had to go home!

"Eye of the Tiger"...I think I lost count of how many times we listened to, sang along, danced to, boxed to, watched the video of, etc!  She cracks me up!

Bella had special teachers today...we did her normal stuff and then Lynette and Ryan came over. Lynette has agreed to teach Bella Science/Health this year and Ryan wants to teach her boxing, kickboxing and self-defense. She was a little hesitant about the boxing, but she got into it eventually!  Of course she couldn't wait  to show Daddy her boxing moves! "Daddy can't box with me because he is sick, but when he is better he will box with me again!"  Lynette told her about the heart today. Bella had to inform her about Daddy. She is worried about Daddy..told Lynette all about how the "doctor is going inside Daddy but doesn't want to hurt his heart so they will be very very careful".  His biopsy is Wednesday and I promised her updates. She said we are going to take care of Daddy together on Thursday!

Just being silly...heading into town with Papa to do some shopping!

Cinderella...CinderBella!

The kids took a little vacation weekend run to Branson..Bella talked about it a lot yesterday! I had given her some spending money because she wanted to get Mommy and Daddy something. I told her their hotel had an ice cream shop so she was very excited about buying them all ice cream! Of course they didn't have her favorite (and her Daddy's favorite) mint chocolate chip..so she settled for chocolate with "yummy sprinkles"!

School work went very well yesterday and today! Bella tried her hand at painting on canvas this week. She has wanted to go to Pinots Palette or someplace similar..unfortunately most places don't have 4 year old painting classes...so Grammy set up our own painting place!  We had little table easels, music, and juice (instead of wine).. we had so much fun!  She thanked me several times for making our own special place to paint!

The new "Cinderella" movie arrived..by the time she came over she had already seen it twice!  Of course we were reenacting the various scenes Thursday and Friday!!  We were switching dresses constantly between "scrubber girl Cinderella" to "ball dress Cinderella" and "wedding dress Cinderella!!"...And  MUCH to her delight her new Cinderella dress arrived today!! She couldn't wait to get that one on!!  I did manage to get her out of it for her nap!  Today I had to be the "mean step-mother", and the prince! Of course when she went home tonight we hurried into her bedroom and changed into her new costume so she could be properly "presented" to Mommy and Daddy!  She is such a hoot!!

Today Bella baked a special cake for her Daddy because he had another doctor appointment today.  She asked me if I was sad today..I thought I was doing well at hiding it but I couldn't lie to her..not when I could easily have burst into tears at any moment today...and was able to do any crying when she was not looking...so I said I was worried.  "About my Daddy?" (Yes..I am worried about him.) "Me, too, Grammy. I worried, too".

Bryan has had some sort of virus for almost a month...started with a severe headache, fever, stiff neck. Doctor said just a virus...which he has been treating for a couple weeks...but then he ended up in the ER with what they said was pleurisy (caused by his unknown virus more then likely)...but while in ER they did chest x-rays and CTScans.  The CTScan showed multiple nodules in his lungs..A follow-up with his physician (and subsequent blood work) showed liver enzyme levels twice the normal level. A referral to a pulmonologist said his lungs sound clear and he aced his PFTs ..they are going to do a sweat-test (because of Bella's CF) next week and a PET Scan was ordered (which was today).  They aren't sure what the nodules are yet...(histoplasmosis is suspected)... So to say that I have been worried is probably an understatement.  The unknown factor is driving me insane.

So today Bella was my little comforter..she gave me lots of hugs and I gave her lots of hugs. If I looked "sad" she would come and give me a hug and kiss.  Nap time she put her arm around me and said "don't cry"...so much for me hiding it from her during the day!!  So I was really glad that her costume came in today and we were able to pretend to be in another place...a place where fairy tales come true and everything is perfect in the end!
Thank you, Bella..for being my comforter today!
I would have been very lost without her today!
