I think Bella spends half her day looking out on the porch at the kittens!  She thinks they are pretty terrific! She has asked a lot of questions about them and has learned some new things about how Nature works!  She has petted MommaKitty and the kittens a couple of times.

her nap...wants the TV turned down so it doesn't disturb them...she has
such a tender heart.

Saturday is her Daddy's birthday and she made him a card and a present.

Grow baby, Grow!

Today Bella and I planted her veggie garden!  She loves planting seeds and she can't wait for her garden to sprout!  She wanted corn, peas, beans, beets (although I think she picked them because she liked the color!), carrots, sweet peppers (yellow, red and purple), LOTS of tomatoes, cinnamon basil, regular basil, chocolate mint and strawberries.  We had our upper planting bed reworked last week and they removed everything including 18 inches of horrible clay/dirt replacing it with awesome planting dirt!  But when they did that she lost all her strawberry plants!  So now we have LOTS of strawberry plants!  It will be fun watching her tend her little garden again!

When we buying veggies to plant, Bella also decided to get some flowers. She picked three plants including a white flower. She told the check-out lady at the register that she was getting white flowers for her wedding. That she was going to put on her wedding dress costume and get married today and she wanted to carry white flowers. There was a big "awwwww" from the others in line!

Yesterday Bella received some additional seeds to plant. One is a type of sunflower seed that only gets 24 inches tall!

Yesterday while she was swimming around the tub in her zebra swim suit,  I asked Bella what she wanted to be when she grew up. Without batting an eye she said.."a doctor".

I asked an animal doctor or people doctor?...
"aminals..I want to doctor aminals!"

So what kind of animals?...
"Oh..jaguars, lions, bears, cats, dogs, hippos, elfants, fish, snakes..good snakes..sharks, dolphins, penguins,birds, ducks, monkeys, spiders, bugs..that's it! OH and sea lions, too!!"..

But you don't like bugs!
"Daddy said bugs are little and I'm big!"
That's true!

Did you know that sea lions and dolphins hold their breath underwater and come up to the top for air?
"They have lungs?"
Yep!
"Fish don't!"
True.
You'll have to be able to put your face in the water and hold your breath, too.
"Okay. Maybe I have a mask on!"
That would work.

She told me this was the animal hospital!

You won't want to dress like a zebra when you take care of the lions. They might mistake you for dinner!
"I would have to say 'don't eat me lions. I'm Doctor Bellya!"

So you want to take care of Zoo animals and wild animals and you want to take care of house pets, too, You will be a veterinarian.

"Excuse me, Grammy..what did you say?"
I said you want to be a veterinarian. That is what an animal doctor is called.
"Betra-air-ean doctor the aminals?"
Yep!
"Even sharks?"
Yep!
"Will you go with me?"
Yep!
"Thank you, Grammy!"

Great Strides

Great Strides is quickly approaching!  May 16th is right around the corner!  

      We have a huge group of walkers participating this year.  It looks like we may have over 50!  It touches my heart to see the support to find a cure for our Precious and all those with CF.   I shed happy tears every time a new donation comes in. 

Our Great Strides banner arrived today!  

It's perfect!  Bella was so excited!  "This is for the Walk? I get to hold it?" 

  I told her of course she can hold it!
